L’histoire se répète
Il y a maintenant vingt ans, le Groupe ETC a découvert un brevet étasunien sur les technologies surnommées depuis lors « technologies terminator » — des semences génétiquement modifiées qui font que les agriculteurs ne peuvent ni conserver ni assurer la reproduction des semences. La société civile et les mouvements paysans ont protesté contre le fait que ces semences-suicide menaçaient des pratiques de conservation des semences aussi anciennes que l’agriculture.

Le mouvement mondial pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture dit NON à l’utilisation du forçage génétique.
Le forçage génétique est une nouvelle technologie qui permet de modi er génétiquement des populations entières. Tous les êtres vivants sont concernés, insectes, plantes, animaux.... Cette technologie invasive constitue une tentative délibérée pour créer de nouvelles formes de pollution génétique : extinction d’espèces entières ; mise en danger des formes d’agriculture et de nourriture durables et équitables.

- It has been twenty years since ETC Group and allies uncovered a US patent on what became known as “Terminator technology” – seeds genetically engineered to stop farmers breeding with them. Civil society and farmer movements protested that these “suicide seeds” would threaten seed-saving practices that are as old as agriculture.

A massive weather modification network – the largest ever — is being planned for the Tibetan Plateau. The plan, according to recent reports, is to cover an area of the size of Spain with thousands of fuel burning chambers (roughly akin to upside-down rockets) to blast silver iodide into the atmosphere, stimulating cloud formation and precipitation.
